Tutoring Resources

The Orton-Gillingham Approach

A multisensory approach that uses four learning pathways to the brain, ensuring every child finds their way to reading success.

Visual

Seeing letter patterns and word shapes through color-coded materials

Auditory

Hearing sounds and connecting them to letter combinations

Kinesthetic

Using body movement and large motor activities while learning

Tactile

Tracing letters in sand, forming words with clay, and texture-based practice

Meet Your Child's Biggest Advocate

Dyslexia Solutions of Colorado offers one-on-one tutoring tailored to your child's specific needs. Led by Jen Pelcyger, our team works with individuals ages 5 to adult, meeting two or more times a week to build lasting reading skills.

We use the Orton-Gillingham Approach, a multisensory method that engages four learning pathways to the brain: Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, and Tactile. We start working with each child at their individual level so it feels achievable from day one. Each lesson builds upon what they have already learned.

Our team includes Jen, Cassidy, and Kristin — dedicated tutors who forge genuine connections with every student. Whether your child has dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, or simply struggles with reading, we adapt our approach to meet them exactly where they are.

Stories of Transformation

Our son could not read at the end of the second grade. After a year of Jen working with him — he now reads on grade level with his classmates and enjoys reading for pleasure.

Chuck Parent of 3rd grader
“Our son has been going for dyslexia and dysgraphia tutoring for near two years with Jen. He has made real progress in his reading and now is on grade level in third grade. Our kiddo also has ADHD and she has adapted the sessions to keep him engaged, take breaks, and play games while learning.”
Jennifer Parent of 3rd grader
“My child has been going to Dyslexia Solutions of Colorado for around a year and a half now. Jen has increased my kiddo’s phonics knowledge which has led to better reading. She has taught her cursive, which has led to better spelling.”
Terra and Jesse Parents of 6th grader
“Our 8th grader has been working with Jen since 5th grade. Our daughter has gone from a struggling dyslexic student to a first honors confident student. We owe it all to the time spent with Jen and her specialized services.”
Jonathan and Katie Parents of 8th grader
“I want to thank you for all that you’ve done for both S.L. and L.L. The work you did not only helped them academically, but it also helped them be confident in who they are, which is just as important.”
Tina Parent of 4th and 6th grader
“Jen Pelcyger worked with my daughter to not only help her with reading, but also work to repair her sagging self-esteem and frustration with the entire reading process. My daughter has shown us her proficiency by reading off recipes, homework sheets and tackling books on her own.”
Stephanie and Eric Parents of 3rd grader
“It is so nice to finally have peace of mind about my kids’ dyslexia. Jen’s teaching style, program, advice, and support have been invaluable to our family. The progress it has led to with both kids has been wonderful!”
Aliya and Rehan Parents of 2nd and 4th grader
“They were very easy to coordinate with and get started. We loved the work Cassidy did in person and the work Kristin did online with our daughter. They definitely helped get her to a good place to be ready to start middle school.”
Emily Mother of 5th grader
“Miss Jen has forged a connection with our son, and understands him as a person and learner. We recently found out that he is now reading at grade level, and no longer qualifies for reading on his IEP! Perhaps more profound is his new-found confidence at school.”
Jen and Greg Parents of 4th grader
“We wanted to thank you for all you did for Matthew. It definitely made an impact on him and his life! We thank the Lord for bringing you into our lives. A blessing you have been.”
